Children’s Day 2020 in India
The first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru loved children a lot and was fondly called ‘Chacha Nehru’ which means Uncle Nehru.
Jawaharlal Nehru believed that it was important to love children because they are the future of India. This is why Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14th November, which is his birthday. Indian politician Mr. V.K. Krishna Me non suggested the idea of a universal Children’s Day.
This idea was then adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. On November 20th (childrens day wishes) the Announcement of the Child Rights was embrace by the United Nations General Assembly. This is why all around the world children’s day is celebrated on 20th November. However, in India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday was declared as Children’s Day on 14th November.
In India there are many schools, colleges where teachers become students. Schools have educational programmers in which teachers get elaborated as well as stage perform for the students. Special television and radio programmer are aired for children on this day. For children, this is a day of joy, freedom and fun. Many government departments, corporate institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) announce various schemes and organize a variety of competitions and events like sports, arts, etc for the children.
We celebrate Children’s Day in India to commemorate that it is great significant to love children and give them proper guidance. If the environment and laws in a country are not good, then children will not be happy while growing up and India will not progress. If environment and laws are proper and work to make India safe then the children will be happy while growing up. This is our responsibility. Today on Children’s day commemorate to keep children happy and safe.
In India there are many children suffer from problems such as poverty, death due to starvation, poor health, limited education, crimes such as kidnapping, sexual abuse, etc. We must spread awareness about such problems and try to solve them. Happy Children’s Day everyone!
happy children day
Thank you, Tony. [Lake, UNICEF Executive Director]. As Secretary-General, I usually meet with Presidents and prime ministers… scientists…military leaders… scholars and academics… captains of industry and business. But none of these people are as important– or as inspiring — as the children I meet, such as you all. Today, the day we celebrate the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, I want to speak directly to the children inthis room, and through them, to all children around the world. Dear young people, the future of our globe.. the future irritation of our world… is in your hands. lots of girls & boys such as you are in hazard, and I am letting them down, as adults.
They are fleeing deadly conflicts. They are going hungry, or without the medicine they need. They are separated from their parents. Or making long, dangerous journeys to safety. They are succeed and living in escapee camps far from home — such as the children We have met in Greece, , Jordan, Lebanon, South Sudan, Central African Republic and else where. Many are being bullied online or in school. Or suffer from discrimination because of their religion, the color of their skin, or their ethnicity. And so often, they are victims of violence or exploitation at the hands of adults. All this is completely unacceptable. As a global community, we cannot continue failing all the children.

So here is my commitment to you: I will spare no effort to make sure that the United Nations is working every day, every hour, every minute, for your best interests and UNICEF is on the front line of this endeavor. Every child has a right to a safe, healthy, peaceful childhood and to develop to their full potential. Today’s most of the children are tomorrow’s chief.. Tomorrow’s presidents as well as prime ministers… Tomorrow’s mothers and fathers… Tomorrow’s teachers and innovators… Even tomorrow’s Secretaries-General of the United Nations.
Every children day quotes, all of us at the United Nations ask ourselves: how can we work together to best support and protect you — the children of the world? as well as how can I satisfaction from your inspiration and your proposals? How can we shape a more supportable destiny that will give each child, in each society, all of the possibility not purely to live based, but to develop?
We are so happy to see so many young people who have traveled here today, because we must also ask ourselves: what do children think? What kind of world do you want? I want to hear your ideas and dreams for the destiny! Whenever I meet children — including and especially those living in the poorest, most desperate situations, suffering terrible hardships– they never fail to inspire me with their smiles, their laughter, their inspiration and their hope. In a world that can so often seem to be a hopeless place, we need children’s hope, more than ever.
And so today — World Children’s children day quotes — the walls of the United Nations will echo with the voices, and the hopes, of children. As Secretary-General, I pledge to you that we will listen, and do our best to honor that hope.
I feel inspired by the thousands of children from all regions who helped to design the supportable event Agenda. As we pursue the supportable event Goals– which represent the promises the governments of the world have made to shape a healthy world for every people… and for every child, we remain committed to being informed by your important views, your ideas, your proposals, your plans. The destiny of the world is in children’s hands. But we can never forget that children’s futures are in our hands.
There is no greater responsibility. No more important job. As well as no healthy pathway to a healthy, healthier, more relaxing world for every people… every family… and every child. Thanks a lot.
