UPSC first attempt
Ravi completed his graduation in the year 2015. And started preparing for UPSC from 2017. At first it was coming in his mind that it was very challenging to give this exam through Hindi medium. Because there was not much study material in Hindi. And Ravi was more aware of Hindi than English.
Ravi took notes in English and understood them by translating them into Hindi. Ravi was from Hindi medium, and passed the UPSC exam in the very first attempt. He secured 337th rank in the year 2018. And got the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS). He joined the job but did not forget his goal.
UPSC’s second attempt
Ravi joined the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) and continued his studies along with his job. This time his aim was to score more marks. And once again gave the exam in the year 2019. This time he did not get more marks than last time and got 317th rank.
This time he got the Indian Defense Account Service (IDAS). Ravi joined the Indian Defense Accounts Service by resigning from the Indian Railway Traffic Service. If seen, the Indian Railway Traffic Service was a better service than the Indian Defense Account Service, but Ravi could not get time to study in this job and the working time of the service was also more. Seeing all these reasons, Ravi chose the Indian Defense Account Service.
UPSC’s third attempt
Ravi continued his studies while in the Indian Defense Accounts Service. And gave the UPSC exam in the year 2020, but this time the result was beyond his hard work. This time Ravi could not pass the prelims exam. And Ravi was shocked. But Ravi did not give up and continued his studies.
UPSC’s fourth attempt
Ravi changed some strategy in 2021 UPSC exam. Kept less books. Read them over and over again. And keep limited resources. Ravi revised NCERT books many times. Practice of answer writing. It seemed to him that Hindi medium was the reason for his low marks. But he accepted the challenge and did not see language as a barrier. He prepared under the right guidance. And by securing 18th rank in the year 2021, proved that a good rank can be achieved through Hindi medium also. Till the 17th rank in the UPSC exam of 2021, all were from English medium, only Ravi was from Hindi medium.
